Fully Cooked Fish Fillets

Chef Philman George Ideas & Inspiration

Our Sea Cuisine portfolio has expanded once again with the introduction of our new Fully Cooked Salmon & Basa Fillets. These products are designed to save you time and labour without sacrificing quality. They are both boneless and skinless, and can be thawed and served or rethermed/reheated for a variety of applications. Hospitals and long term care facilities are in love with these products as they reduce the risk of cross contamination and have a clean ingredient listing. Banquet, cafeteria, quick serve and fast casual style operations are also reaping the benefits of our Sea Cuisine Fully Cooked Fish Fillets.

I was a bit skeptical when I first heard about our Fully Cooked Salmon. I’m sure we have all experienced how unpleasant it is to eat over-cooked Salmon. My concern was that since the product is already fully cooked, how can I reheat it without drying it out? Hats off to our product development team who ensure that the Salmon is cooked to perfection, so it retains all the natural moisture and flavour. If you have a combi oven reheating is effortless. You will also be shocked at how well this product performs in the microwave…YES in the microwave. Simply follow the reheating guidelines which are on the box and on our website.

A few nights ago I prepared some salad rolls using our fully cooked Basa. All I had to do was thaw them out, pat them dry, and brush them with an Asian glaze. Then I rolled them up with some mango, cucumbers, red peppers, avocado and chow mein noodles. They were a big hit!

Check out this other idea using our Fully Cooked Basa Fillets. Once again I just thawed them out and brushed them with some Teriyaki glaze. Then I wrapped them up with some lettuce, tomato and deep fried wontons for some added crunch. Whether served a la carte, or as a sandwich platter, this wrap is quick, simple and tasty.

Until next time…Stay hungry my friends!
