A Seafood Twist on A Classic Dish - Crispy Tilapia Parmesan Recipe!

Preparing chicken or veal Parmesan from scratch takes a lot of labour. But, creating a seafood version of this classic dish is easy, thanks to Upper Crust™ Parmesan Crusted Tilapia with Tuscan Herbs. The fish is already pre-portioned and coated with all the flavor and texture you need. Serve on a bed of pasta and you have a seafood twist on a classic dish. 

Chef Hack: Cut down the tilapia cook time from 15 minutes to 3 minutes by deep frying from frozen, for a crispy top crust. Top with tomato sauce and cheese, melt and serve. It’s that simple!

Ingredients:

6 x 5 – 6 oz pieces Upper Crust™ Parmesan Crusted Tilapia with Tuscan Herbs (Product Code 8413)

1 cup prepared marinara sauce

½ cup mozzarella cheese, grated

¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated

4 ½ cups linguini pasta, cooked

½ cup olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 shallot, minced

1 tbsp parsley, chopped

2 tbsp basil, chiffonade

Method:

  1. Deep fry Upper Crust™ Parmesan Crusted Tilapia at 350°F for 3 minutes or until top crust is golden.
  2. Top each fillet with marinara sauce and cheese, and bake at 375°F for 5 minutes or until done.
  3. In a large pan sauté shallots and garlic in olive oil. Add refreshed linguini and remaining ingredients. Season with salt & pepper to taste.
  4. Plate Tilapia Parmesan on a bed of linguini and garnish.
